Fees
Cold River Academy is a private school, and does not
receive funding from any government program. Our school
is funded solely by the enrollment fees paid by families who
choose to enroll their children. We know that the cost of
homeschooling can be considerable, and that the cost of
some private cover schools may make it difficult for some
families to enroll. We want homeschooling to be an
affordable option to as many families as possible. We know
that most homeschoolers are not rich- that's why we offer our
services at a cost considerably lower than that of many other
private cover schools. Homeschooling shouldn't cost a
fortune- and with Cold River Academy, it doesn't have to!
Standard Enrollment Fee (SEF): $150 per year, per family
This fee is charged per family, and covers record-keeping
services for up to three children, student identification for
each child enrolled, and teacher identification for the
teaching parent.
Please note: The cost of enrollment does not include
curriculum or materials.
Additional Child Fee (ACF): $10 per year per child
This is an additional fee which applies to each child (over
the three included in the SEF) up to six children, for
enrollment and record-keeping services. Families with more
than six children enrolling will only be charged for the first six.
Students in Grades 7 - 12: $15 per year per child
This fee is in addition to the SAF and ACF, and covers the
cost of the additional record-keeping required for the upper
grades, as well as diploma issuance and transcript
preparation.
Payment Methods
If you are enrolling online or by fax or mail, payment may be
made by check or money order made payable to Cold River
Academy, or you may contact us at (530)892-2892 for
instructions for sending your payment by Western Union or
MoneyGram. Enrollments received by mail are usually
processed within three business days after they are
received. However, if paying by personal check, please
allow up to 10 business days for your check to clear before
enrollment will be processed.
If you are in need of same-day enrollment services, you may
enroll either online or by fax. Payment may be made using
your debit or credit card using Western Union or
MoneyGram. Sorry, we do not accept PayPal at this time.
